Long Weekend Traffic Blitz

 In paralegal Newmarket, Traffic Tickets

Just a friendly reminder from all of us here at SW Legal Services that with the long weekends, comes increased police presence on our roads, namely safety blitzes.  The OPP routinely engage in long weekend blitzes to target the big four when it comes to road safety.  They are impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving and failing to wear a seat belt properly.  Examples of these would be Impaired/Over 80 mg, Careless Driving, Follow too Closely, Speeding, Unsafe Lane Change, Driver/Passenger Fail to Wear Seat belt and Driving While Using a Handheld Device.  Most of which carry demerit points and large hits against your insurance premiums.

Police will also target commercial motor vehicles during these blitzes.  Police have a number or tools at their disposal in order to round up offenders, such as unmarked car and trucks and even an airplane.  Remember to follow the rules of the road and travel safely.  If you find yourself charged with any driving offence, remember to call us at 905-235-4567 or email info@swlegalservices.ca for a free consultation.  We can go over your situation and explain our services to you.

SW Legal Services also routinely practices in the areas of Small Claims Court and Landlord Tenant!
